Chip George is the Vice President of Sales for the U.S. Public Sector market for Nutanix, which includes all Federal, State and Local Government entities, as well as Higher Education institutes. He has over 25 years of experience serving the unique needs of these public sector organizations for various fast-growing technology companies in the data management, cybersecurity, and analytics space.

Career highlights before Nutanix include running Splunk’s DoD and Intelligence Community business, and more than 13 years in NetApp’s Public Sector organization, where he ran the DoD business group, and later the State and Local Government team. He also spent nine years as a sales executive in the telecomm sector managing business in both the government and commercial space.

Chip started his career in the United States Navy as a nuclear submarine officer on the USS Philadelphia (SSN 690) after earning a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
